But as I have been saying to people all week, and none of them believed me (in the real world), anything can happen in the FA Cup. On the day the better team won. My other prediction was that Rashford will have a blinder and make Southgate have a re-think at the expense of Gordon. Don't think that quite happened though, but he did up his game today. In the early days many of the fan base were of catholic/ Irish ancestry .[Me too]. I think the same is true of Liverpool. Man u have bought from Celfic in the past. But we missed out on Kenny Dalgliesh. What a player.

Something wrong with his attitude. Full stop. He's a local lad, I can't understand it.
Blackmag 6,039
I thought utd were excellent especially in the first half they seem to just stop city getting many shots away and followed ten Haig plan to the letter foden had a off day but utd keeper did well keeping walker out twice that mainoo as certainly stepped up what a talent he was great again today and did a great job not just scoring but his alround play as well

WILF 46,644
Here’s one……Kyle Walker has to be in with a shout of best right back in the world ? who is genuinely better than him ?

He is the best right back in the world, no question imo... his pace is unreal, Rashford is no slouch but he was quicker and stronger than him most times .. played a couple of dodgy balls today thar nearly cist City though, their bravery to play everywhere on the pitch and keep such a high line was their undoing today, UTDs tactics were perfect ... said all season UTD are best when they don't have a lot of possession, today was testament to that... brilliant quick counter attacks and allowing City all the possession, pressing correctly and quickly, very good performance all round... If Ten Hag does go he can be proud of today 2

But three finals in two years, winning two of them is pretty impressive. I think new management like to put their own men in place. It doesn't necessarily mean the new man is any better but it makes the management feel important.

chartpolski 23,219
I was obviously disappointed at yesterday’s result as it means Newcastle will not be playing European football next season, but to be honest, I’d say it’s fairer for a team that has actually won a trophy to qualify for Europe, that a team that finished seventh in the league and needed someone else to lose, to qualify for Europe ! Man U played probably better yesterday than they have all season and Man City probably played worse than they have all season, but that’s the magic of the Cup ! What not playing in Europe means for Newcastle is hard to say, but on the whole, I think we would have had a great chance of winning the third division of European competition by looking at the other teams that have qualified, but it’s not to be ! Cheers.
