I'd let Rashford go as well, plus Casimero, Ericksen and Varane.. build on these youngsters...if only Rice would've gone there... I also think Kane will end up there, he's only 30...he'll be sick of the krauts and sausage for breakfast, lunch and tea soon enough lol I agree on Rashford, that lad needs another club and a fresh start.

Given that he obviously don’t want to play low block shite, I think that is all he has in the locker at the minute otherwise they would just get played through ? They are getting played through mate, every game, 30 odd shots against them most games...I'm not saying we have the players to compete with Liverpool or City, but it feels very naive at times, Neville flagged it on throw ins, folowing the man who had no influence on the game and leaving the space...it made perfect sense, and even at our shit standard you'd get back into shape and defend from there... But... I think he will adapt and plays a quite daring style, I'd rather stick with it than twist again and start over

Like Keegan's Newcastle...but a lot worse! Lol Having seen a few reviews that is not a penalty like I have said before var isn't fit for purpose but I think Liverpool need a new striker coach 28 shots 2 goals I think it's city's to lose given the fixtures and history of city chasing it

I’m probably way off but a the moment I can think of Haaland & Solanke……most others are basically goal scoring wingers. Cole Palmer is a goal scoring 10 from what I can see of it…..so is Kane in reality. See, I have always believed that a proper striker needs to be one horrible b*****d, they would kick a baby out the way to score but academy’s have not been manufacturing those for a long time…..these 8 stone midgets are never strikers, they just ain’t physical enough. Edited to add: Nunez could be but Liverpool don’t play a system that requires or suits a striker. Edited April 8 by WILF

Woods, Calvert Lewin, that lad at Luton, big lump and a handful, old fashioned centre forward..only difference is they play up on their own now... UTD has one centre forward, used to have 4.. City the same. . games changed a lot eh..no more 442!
Blackmag 6,068
I couldn't of put it better strikers that are selfish toney is another one seem a dying breed

Isak and Watkins are never out and out strikers in a million years imho mate, again I’d say they are goal scoring wingers playing in advanced positions. Woods, Morris and Calvert Lewin, Antonio are “do a job” men, nothing more…..no defender in England is shitting themselves when they hear those names ! Lol These modern systems, many of them don’t suit the out and out striker, it’s all recycle, recycle, recycle around the box…..no first touch out your feet and deliver or hold up, set, spin off. Games different now, that’s why Haaland was so refreshing in his first season.

WILF 46,786
I’ll add I think lads of our generation were a bit spoiled coming through our 20s, imho we got to experience watching the greatest generation of strikers that have ever played the game. When you’ve seen the Battistuta, Ronaldo, Cole, Solkjear, Vieri, Shearer, Inzaghi, Owen, Van Nistelrooy, Henry, Fowler, York to name but a few of this world, everyone else is going to have a hard job competing in your mind. Lol

Lol That's a different argument mate, no way can you put Isak or Watkins up against most just any of those, but they are still centre forwards imo .. dion Dublin, Chris Sutton, Robbie Keane, Les Ferdinand... All 2nd rate to those you've mentioned but CFs none the less .. I do agree though, the 90's early 2000s were littered with the best CFs we're likely to see, When UTD have Yorke and Cole starting and Ole and Sheringham on the bench that's scary...then they sinf Ruud Van Nisteroy just to keep things ticking along lol ... Batistuta... That is a centre forward!

Everyone is trying to almost walk the ball in now days, modern development systems want goal scorers all over the pitch and they want highly athletic multi role players rather than specialists.

Mate when centre backs play in midfield and the full backs are no10s I've no idea what system teams play anymore! Lol But yeah agreed, the 1 striker option is common place now, and as you say he's doesn't have to be prolific...f**k me Rashford scored 30 off the left wing last season, what was that about! WILF 46,786
What a treat it is to watch this Real Madrid team. Everything about it is so good, first touches, quality of pass, discipline, shape, movement, knowing just when to do what, they can be pretty, they can be aggressive……they just look totally in control of everything they do Its fantastic Edited April 10 by WILF
