I had a few drinks with the Dortmund fans when they played Newcastle; an excellent bunch of lads. I had them in some of the roughest bars in the Toon and even had them drinking Newcastle Brown Ale.

They arranged to meet my nephew and his mates in Dortmund for the away game and look after them, which they did.

Cheers.

The way we've treated Moyse is f****n disgusting....im not against a new manager it probably is the right time but theres ways of doing things and the man deserves respect and a good send off yet we'v

West Ham fans in town all day and not a murmur until wives/families get attacked by " ultras " at the game itself.....embarrassing !! There was a handful of chaps on each stairwell stopping them

My Hammers will struggle this year ,some fans want Moyse gone but personally i cant see the point we have a manager thats proved he can improve the club, owners willing to throw money at it.....at what

Enjoyed that Champions League final the other night what a breath of fresh air Ally McCoist is as a co commentator he sounds a likeable, humorous sort of chap with a good understanding of the game at that level.....the better side lost i thought but with 39 champions league medals across the squad compared to 1 for Dortmund it suggests Madrid know how to win these competitions.

Just cant get motivated for these Euro's coming up..... ive been all over watching England in tournament football over the years but giving this one a miss, just something not right at International level football for me at the moment.

Since this is a football threat, I have a proposition. Why don't we start discussing more underground football leagues, such as the Syrian league? I have recently watched the doma vs al shouleh game, and truth be told, it was quite exciting. I think this league is promising. So, what do you guys think about this idea?

Got to agree Southgate doesn't fill me with any confidence especially given the squad he has available to him Madrid were second best but that mentality of being there so many times and winning plus having players that can finish a team with one chance showed why they didn't panic

Grealish dropped from England squad …..no surprise; an arrogant , self entitled pisshead !

Don't get photographed coming out of a night club at five in the morning  before you’re due to play in the FA Cup final if you want to be taken seriously !

Just my opinion, of course .

Cheers.

Premier league clubs have voted to keep VAR. I despair.

Because it’s doing it’s intended job perfectly……it’s all part of the spectacle !

Hardly anyone gives a f**k about the actual football.

They say in advertising, we don’t care if it’s good or bad but we always want people talking about us rather than not talking about us…….VAR in a nutshell.

Regarding Grealish, good call from Southgate but a shame. Is it going to be another example of a possible world class British or Irish player failing to live up to his potential? But he's a grown man and hopefully his "advisers" are not ripping him off with the millions that he is earning.

Ousted out by Anthony Gordon? Without wanting to tempt fate I can see Euro 2024 being to Gordon what 1990 World Cup was to Gazza, but hopefully without the self imploding. Being at Newcastle he has the right manager to protect him from that at the moment. Not that I am biased.

A worryingly professional job by Serbia today. Letting Sweden play and then taking their chances. If Southgate pisses about with a cautious game they will beat us. Let's hope he shows some balls with the array of game winning talent that is available to him.

That’s the biggest fear for me .

grealish and Maddison are arguably the closest we have to a maverick type plane . Both sat at home .

as dynamic and direct Gordon is , he’s more malleable than them . I can see Southgate pushing him inside to box teams off in later stages of games .

i sincerely hope I’m wrong , but I think we’ll get carried away with expectation and get dissatisfied again.

id really really liked ro have seen England put Iceland to the sword last night , we looked nervy chasing the game ( am I really saying that about an Iceland friendly at Wembley ? )

Bit deflated to be honest
