gnasher16 30,280
I think as fans we can over complicate things sometimes......Moyse wanted a certain type of player and Philips fitted the bill and took advantage of the situation at City......im sure as a club we looked around at what was available. Describing Philips as bang average and taking nothing to work at other than fitness is a bit silly the lads a top international player thats reached the highest level of the game if Moyse can get him back at that level then great,if not thats life but having had good conversations with what is only a 28 year old lad the club obviously feel its a chance worth taking with no real financial loss if it doesnt work out.

I can’t have that one mate, “only 28” …….you play the best football of your whole life at 27,28,29….that’s it, that’s the sweet spot. For a footballer if you ain’t doing it then you’ll never do it, it’s the age where your game and body and mind is at its peak football wise. The rest I ain’t arguing because it’s a sensible opinion, but 28 for a footballer is the best it will ever be.

I think, and not speaking for Gnasher, he meant he's only 28,in that, it's not a gamble on a 35 year old on loan.. the very fact you've got a player in his prime years is a good thing imo, he shouldn't take long to get up to match fitness.. I feel a bit sorry for the lad, he probably would've got a loads of game time anywhere other than City...
Blackmag 6,103
Zouma didn't do him any favours so early in to his debut with that back pass and not really having played many first team matches is lacking that sharpness time will tell if it's worked for him moving I think moyse will at least give him time to settle in and give him game time which he needs
NEWKID 27,280
On another note, so impressed with how Declan Rice has just slotted in at Araenal and is probably there most important player now, he was brilliant on Sunday, I'm not sure who I'd pick out of him and Rhodri at the moment to be honest...proper midfielders... must be gutting tinged with pride for Hammers fans, another brilliant talent through the club...

chartpolski 24,296
I’ve nothing against Phillips ability, I just think City were being a bit greedy with their loan terms; especially with no option to buy. Supposing Phillips does really well, then he goes back to City, it leaves West Ham back to square one and still needing to buy a new midfielder, after investing around £10,000,000 in Phillips for less than half a season. Cheers.

The Premier League investigated and informed the police. The police found no crime bad been committed, but the Premier League advised Newcastle to give the lesbian a two year ban, Newcastle stupidly did this ! From what I hear, the fans aren’t happy and Newcastle have made a huge mistake ! Ive a feeling there will be a massive backtracking and apology coming from Newcastle! Cheers.
