You would have enjoyed it Wilf 👍 Lots of hard tackles going in, no VAR to spoil it.
Cheers.

Yes no stop start with that var nonsense it was like a training session at times but like you said earlier the gulf in class was clear to see I see trippier made Clarke look bad today did you see the team photo in front of the away end at the end charts I thought the old lad in the stand at the side of the away end was going to have a clucther at that 😂

The way we've treated Moyse is f****n disgusting....im not against a new manager it probably is the right time but theres ways of doing things and the man deserves respect and a good send off yet we'v

West Ham fans in town all day and not a murmur until wives/families get attacked by " ultras " at the game itself.....embarrassing !! There was a handful of chaps on each stairwell stopping them

My Hammers will struggle this year ,some fans want Moyse gone but personally i cant see the point we have a manager thats proved he can improve the club, owners willing to throw money at it.....at what

To be fair, the Mackems aren’t really complaining about the game , but they aren’t too happy about the team photo !

I honestly thought it was a great game, Sunderland hit the bar and Dubravka made one or two good saves, but the result was never in doubt, Newcastle were different class.
None of the standing around waiting for VAR to give a decision, hard tackles going in, passion, ( did you see Bruno after making a tackle ?).

As for the goals; if Ballard hadn’t put into his own goal, Isak was there for the tap in; the other goal was just a Championship player trying to mug off a Premier and International player and getting it badly wrong. The penalty ? Well Gordon was through on goal and if it had been earlier in the game Ballard would have been sent off but the ref was lenient !

We all see games differently, but I was happy with the result obviously !

Cheers.

I enjoyed the game I think safc fans were expecting a defeat but they  wanted subs earlier .to be fair I thought Ballard had a decent game today  I was expecting more from Clarke to be honest and there a young team but kept playing out from the back putting themselves under pressure against Newcastle pressing  that new manager hasn't done himself any favours today with his after game comments credit to the ref I thought he let it try and flow like a derby game should be played good hard tackling

Exactly ! I was talking to pals during the game and said the same thing.
I don’t expect them just to lump it forward but they weren’t good enough to play that game against a Premier team full of internationals especially with Newcastle pressing and challenging every ball.

f**k me ! I’m starting to talk like I know what I’m talking about….  I don’t, I’m just a supporter who enjoyed the game ! LOL !

Cheers.

If Newcastle can score early the atmosphere will be funny to see after theses last couple of weeks be interesting so see how young Clarke does against prem players as he's been impressive this season a lot like Bowen in his play

He went to school with one of my best mates in the army . He’s not a shabby player himself and played well before managing the local side to their local cup in York last year

To be fair he wasn't himself today from what I have seen of him  wether that's down to the class in opposition or a bad day at the office but he's been one of the championship best young players and chipped in his share of goals wether he can step up to prem level who knows

Yeah I was reading about it they beat barrow previously who are flying in league 2 hopefully they get a prem team and a decent wedge in gate receipts that will probably help a club like them for a good while

Some game that.. De Bruyne off the bench was different class, but Newcastle played well without the ball and constantly dangerous on the break..shame Isak ran out of steam, as I thought he was brilliant for 70 minutes... some side this City team though..
