FLATTOP 4,623
Been out and about with my rifle loads of birds of prey about and walking back to my vehicle I see a barn owl going up and down a field hunting it kept swooping down and hitting the ground hard it sat there a while looking at me, it was nice to watch, I have also had a nice run of rabbits to have a go at I shot 12 but I don’t pick them up until I pack up as it disturbs the site for any more making an appearance, a large fox rocked up and was just staring at me could have easily have shot it but I don’t shoot anything apart from rabbits these days it helped itself to one of the laying rabbits I’d shot. Couple of blurry pics of the owl and the fox.

Greyman 29,685
Nice little wander today been out for a good few hours found another little cubbing den a water vole bait station sat under a rookery and watched them rebuilding then saw this owl box someone had decided to fix up in an old dying oak tree it’s full of natural holes ideal for nesting in anyway and home to lots of jackdaws that will probably take up residence in the box. Idiots with good intentions we have loads of owls they thrive here have seen five different species here in the last year or so
