The Mrs and girls aren't very keen on walking, so i drove 3/4 of the way up to the highest carpark. The whole walk was only 1.4 miles including mincing about on the top! They got rewarded big time once we broke through the clag onto the top. It's only a hill really, but gave the feel of being on a mountain top!

There is a fantastic pub with really good food and accommodation just up the road from Ledbury The Oak Inn Staplow, I really like Ledbury if I could find the right property I would probably move there.

Had a walk around another old pit site that's on my doorstep even though the pit shut in the early 70s and the site was used in the play the price of coal that can be seen on YouTube. All that remains now is a big concrete slab and steel girders that's capping the shafts off. I also bumped into a few escapees from Wentworth Park.
