Sitting by the river this morning,vulture feeding on something washed down by the weekends floods,another couple of vultures circling but afraid to drop in because of my presence.Kind of reminds me of varanasi in India,the vultures feeding on human corpses.

Went to a mates house earlier for coffee,he had a turtle in one of his 5 bathrooms??he was keeping it in isolation and giving it eye drops,as I was there humming birds were flitting about so he filled his feeder with nectar.A few years ago his 8 week old kitten was snatched from the porch by a red tailed hawk.

This reminds me of the time one of the lads from the factory went to the Hefty Doris's ( also factory staff) place down the Sluice, and came back telling us her bath was full of soil with Leeks growing in it, I don't recall whether he mentioned if they were pot or show leeks, but they were leeks, and no mistake, sorry no pics
