I've got that walk on my 'to-do" list.. always fancied seeing it for real and taking that view in on a nice day. We just had 3 nights after Christmas over at Orton. Didn't nothing but rain!! Rough with the smooth though as they say! Hopefully get it ticked off this year! That’s a bit gutting with the weather but like you say, rough with the smooth… Its a cracking walk mate and definitely something you need to see for yourself to appreciate it… About 1 1/2 hr drive for me so will be back for a wild camp up there
Greyman 28,217
Found a couple more pics, dogs and pheasants and the roof of a house on the edge of one of the valleys I walked to show the steepness, you can get lost down in some of these gorges proper no mans land and they run through the hills like veins in all directions, I,m still finding new ones after quite a few miles walking

Been out with the fell packs there and back in a day.. bloody long day mind! My sister lives in Penrith and knows the area pretty well and also what goes on over there. She says there's a little camp site at Dufton and that the village pubs sometimes has bands on so I'm thinking about combining the two and getting plastered after the High cup Nick walk and waking up hanging in my tent that I haven't brought yet!! She's been up Scotland this last week.. done Ben Mcdui and Cairngorm and god knows what else!

zandy01 3,575
@Bush Rummager you need to start spending more time with your sister mate, looks incredible with the conditions and where she’s been Yes, it’s a lovely little village and if there’s camping and pub at the end of a good walk then that’s just the icing on the cake… Get the tent bought, get the boots on and get outside mate
