That thud was him heading it back mate .I’ve an old airsporter  with a knackered spring that does the same at 10m if it gets that far .

i was once out with my youngest lad he would be about 12 at the time, shooting squirrels, he had got a crossman rat catcher CO2 thing, as we were walking up the drive a rabbit pops out about 20 yards in front. he say can i shoot it, yes i replied, well he hit it right in the head, the pellet then came back and hit me right in the shin,

Looks grand that mate! I've got that walk on my 'to-do" list.. always fancied seeing it for real and taking that view in on a nice day. We just had 3 nights after Christmas over at Orton. Didn't nothing but rain!!?‍♂️ Rough with the smooth though as they say!

Hopefully get it ticked off this year!

That’s a bit gutting with the weather but like you say, rough with the smooth…

Its a cracking walk mate and definitely something you need to see for yourself to appreciate it… About 1 1/2 hr drive for me so will be back for a wild camp up there ?

Found a couple more pics, dogs and pheasants and the roof of a house on the edge of one of the valleys I walked to show the steepness, you can get lost down in some of these gorges proper no mans land and they run through the hills like veins in all directions, I,m still finding new ones after quite a few miles walking ?

Yes mate booked another 3 nights in a couple of weeks time I'm keeping a close eye on the forecast ?

The plus side was we walked the Carey Valley which wouldnt have happened if the lakes were fishable so all was not lost.

@Bush Rummager you need to start spending more time with your sister mate, looks incredible with the conditions and where she’s been ???

Yes, it’s a lovely little village and if there’s camping and pub at the end of a good walk then that’s just the icing on the cake…

Get the tent bought, get the boots on and get outside mate ????

Oh no you don’t back to the top, my day today, up at 6 weather so foul even the dogs told me to piss off, so off to work, concreting rat holes around a factory, little mooch about trying to get a pic of a multi on my way in, see them in these woods but recon the rain last nights put them down, chopped more fire wood then changed a few cameras on the way home

Spot the camera on the bottom pic, had it out a few months in a good hotspot, had a reported sighting nearby during the time it was there, and it’s failed to trigger once in three months, blank SD card apart from two shots of my mug as I took it down ouch, ?
