Yea mate have a bucket I chuck all the lead in. I don't do beaches much mate so no I did little gully's at the low tide hoping for old coins, not to be lol. Most of my detecting is fields I like the historic side always hoping for a good find. It's surprising how much lead I find used to throw it in the hedge but started keeping it, now have half a bucket full. Took a load of stuff and gifted it to the local Museum the other day just kept the coins I want to keep. Cheers Arry
Greyman 28,549
Right here we go I know we are not allowed to mention big cats, but f**k it they are part of the countryside and what I do , so this is a valley somewhere on the Cotswolds that produced our first dna hit on a fresh deer carcass and has been the seen a several more good sightings etc, so just been up to sort out some cameras that have been up since January, humidity and tempature is off the scale me and the old mutts are blowing well this morning but as my motor is hid at the bottom of the valley and the cameras are at the head it’s been a bit of a beast anyways here you go a few hair traps on fence and a water source acting as a track trap in the hot Edited June 28, 2023 by Greyman
Greyman 28,549
Out of interest in the pic 3 from the end there is a square dirty red quarry tile, I find these outside of badger sets in the area and was wondering is it A they are buried in the ground and just get pushed out during the digging or B they are used as some kind of marker from these various groups that monitor the setts like these two I caught a while back, anyone else ever see them ?? Arry 21,974
Went for a walk with Wifey down near Salcombe at Bolt Head and the craggy cliff at Sharp Tor. The sea mist came in made it quiet atmospheric. You can make out the coastal path under the crag, should be able to see the mouth of Salcombe estuary. This house used to be a ruin with cows inside.
