For what i do mate which is just mooching about in woodland and hedge bottoms if the bitch was mine i would be looking at putting another beddy/whippet type over her to keep the tough skin and rough coat which can be a godsend when hunting in woodland.

Thats all I do now mate.you make a good point.this beddywhippet has never needed a stitch and  will go through all cover.young whippet has more nicks and cuts already at 15 months.

I think nothernlite has it spot on mate ,a strong non ped is the way for rabbits.it's all right producing all rounders for other stuff but things aren't what they used to be.the good times of the past have gone ,do gooders have seen to that. but if you are young enough and brave enough who knows ?

Not anufe rabbits about for me to even think about taking a litter to produce rabbit dogs, out ferreting this morning and took 3 ,days of taking double figures and more are gone round my way and they other stuff in abundance to turn to ,as for do gooders they always been about.

Yep rabbit numbers are well down but it surprising how much sport you can get out of one rabbit. One rabbit makes me a happy bunny lol. The new pup is hopefully just going to be mooching companion though as you need to be versatile now a days to get any sort of sport.
The country side is filling up and fast in my area nearly every bit of woodland that used to give a bit of cover for the hunting man to do his thing now has a bloody tent or a caravan on it. Houses going up all over the shop. Its getting difficult for sure
