Have driven most 4x4 over the year incuding Nissan, Mitsubishi, Daihatsu, Range Rover etc and in my opinion none of them can match the Landcruiser.

I drove thousands of miles usually with a loaded horsebox and none of them can match for pulling power.

Same here, had the Disco,Isuzu,Mitsu and thereal villain a 110 Td5 :no::no: the landcruisers a 2001 excellent by comparrison thouigh the M300 disco was quite good but the rot got too it by 140000.

ok we all know that topgear took a hilux to the north pole but what most dont realise is that the same team of icelanders took landcruisers to the south pole, dont get me wrong subarus are fantastic CARS, they may indeed be 4wd but theres no way you can compair them to a landcruiser its a totally differant animal and each marque is designed for a differant application, i mean you wouldnt go street racing in a land cruiser or go offroading (rallying is not offroading in this case lets call rally gravel road racing) in a scoobie would you. my belief is that the hilux and landcruisers are the best 4x4s out there and the scoobie and evo7 are the best 4wd rally cars out there....there is no realistic way to run a comparison chosing two totally differant types of motor like this. fuel economy in my hilux is far better than any scoobie ive ever driven as for towing well ive pulled 2.5tons of disco out of a near vertically banked bomb hole whilst i was in the muddy field next to the hole-lets see a scoobie do that

i still rather like scoobies though

Think I'm going to be on the look out for a 4.2 TD Amazon soon to replace the Rangie...

Point of note though... same team of icelanders took landcruisers to the south pole  they took them to the magnetic north pole, not the south pole; two totally diferant places......still a bloody hell of a feat. South Pole, is in the Antarctic continent and no vehicles are alowed to drive on there, the MNP is in the northen Canadian territories.....
