OldPhil 5,672
Yeah,..I remember visiting a man, who I regarded as being, one of the best 'running dog Vets'... My bitch had a collatoral ligament injury, to a front outside toe , and it seemed to be a recuring problem... Now, this guy was used to dealing with such annoying , debilitating,.. maladies and he told me straight,...."The bitch needs six weeks rest Phil",...I nodded in agreement.. The man smiled at me and repeated his advice,..."I mean six weeks proper rest ,..NOT a lurcherman's rest".... I got the message,...I did as he said,...rested the gal up good and proper,..and the toe came good.... Time is often a great healer... Edited January 9, 2023 by OldPhil 11 Quote Link to post
Bakerboy 4,672
Easiest way to fck up dogs is to not give them enough recovery time after injuries, whether it be lurchers or terriers Quote Link to post
