We have been planning something similar and I'm not joking. Our 9kw shower has been used less by me over the last few weeks. I am now relying on the sniff test before I use it My son has a 3kw radiator in his room, which he isn't using at all. A calculation of 69p per kwh over 24 hours using that radiator would work out £49.68 per day!
