Artificials ?

Recommended Posts

Struggle for earths on my shoot even though theres plenty of foxes.... the problem is the dykes are dug out every year so your always a one hit wonder.... theres also a big national trust wood that joins onto my wood which is another nightmare.. so i planned to put in some artificials both in my wood boundries and in areas of the farm which dont get jcb'd...

What i wanted to know from anyone who has first hand knowledge is it bolox that plastic dont hold foxes?? ive been told that the ribbed stuff thats black on the outside and bright blue in the middle is bang on because it holds heat well...??? also does cat pis attract foxes? - making them enter initially then once they've been through a time or two will hold up come season???

Any tips greatfully received.. its a ball aching job if its for nowt

Thanks ....Jody

Nowt wrong with plastic pipes mate We find loads of foxes in them .On this estate there are loads of proper artificials old glazed pipes concrete ones BUT the few plastic ones on here hold better. The black ribbed ones are good try not to get the ones that are smooth on the inside as when you get a feisty bugger in them its hard for the dog to get a grip.Placement is the secret .Good luck.

Had one out of a plastic pipe yesterday, but its the first ive had out of one.Cut the pipe into 3 foot lengths and as you put each length in fill the bottom with an inch or two of soil.Thats how this one was constructed about 7 months ago and it held.
