I know dave, I know. Weird thing is, I'm happy spending it on others (family/friends/hookers etc) but always try find cheaper alternative for myself. Been looking at .22lrs for ages now, got budget of £700 but can't even bring myself to spend £280 on a mint condition cz455.

Always fancied an Impact myself.

I personally won't buy unless they change the law on FAC Air though. The problems of obtaining permissions are just too great and the risks of losing one having bought a £1.5K rifle, too large financially. IIt's ok if you're a game keeper, or shoot a lot with mutlipe permissions, but for someone whoi's more urban and occassional with maybe only 1 permission, it's a huge risk.

It's ridiculous the smaller calibres ie .20 -.30 are on FAC as in danger terms, they're not much different to a shotgun in ultimate range. A shot gun will reach out to 90-100 yards with larger ammunition and if someone went crazy, I'd personally fear a shotgun close up far far more than FAC air which makes the requirement of FAC instead of SGC for guns over 12ft lbs appear somewhat wrong. It's entirely right guns over 12ft lb should require some kind of certification.

In my opinion, Air above 12ft lbs but below 100ft lbs and .30 cal or below, should be on a SGC with FAC reserved for large calibres and powers above 100ft lbs. Rant off,

Very nice gun anyway and I think you'll have lots of fun shooting it. With a slug barrel, the Impacts used on the YT channel the Oxbow diaries always look superb preformers. In the uk for tree rats, I think maybe pellets might be more suitable. Fun to be had either way.
