Had a go for tench today, didn’t get any but this nicely marked pike took a liking to my worms

Once a pike is in a swim the fish keep away I know polish eat the pike out of any water over here some fishing places had fish stripped out of the pools because of them poaching as no licenses either

Ive had thousands of pike over the years but can’t remember getting one with markings like that . Im guessing it’s to do with the water colour

Just packed the motorhome me and the grandson off for a few days hoping for a catfish but have the lure rods packed for a bit of pike and perch fishing if the cats and carp are slow

All settled in got the mo ho in the swim rods out the side doors kettle on and a bit of lunch for grandson sweet

Couple of fish from over the weekend, the little bugger caught more than his old man and I havnt lived it down since lol, he had around 10/12 carp, tench, roach, the koi and he was over the moon with his pb perch

Only the third time it's ever been caught,twice on floating bread..First time off the bottom (bit of black zig foam 3ft hooklink in 5/6ft of water) at night...well pleased for him

Still at it nasty cold wind had a couple of carp in the night but no cats and nothing on the lures little man’s still enjoying himself so will probably stick it out another night

Effort =reward and he’s off the mark first carp around twenty pound no scales and don’t care the face says it all

Little bugger will bragging look how well I've done watch it son your head is getting to big to walk through the door frame of the enlarged head he may have you know how kids are trying to impress and brag
