Just back from Tamworth lovely weekend spent with old mates son and some new mates finally caught my first catfish but lost a bigger one and to round it all off slept out under the stars and watched the light show which I never expected to ever see in this country amazing weekend

Been fishing since Friday morning got back about one o’clock and my boy was straight out looking for carp been stood on the roof of my boat for hours then heard him shout he is a bit of a machine when it comes to the carp FairPlay to the lad 24lb of common carp

Its a little lake called Castle View,in the middle of a new build site in Caerphilly...used to be a cattle pond when I was a kid

DC. I’ve had all my mates trying to find a catfish place around Tamworth. They tell me there isn’t one. Now I know why, wrong country ffs. Do I feel like a plonker or what. Jok.

Theres a few UK fisheries where you can go and catch catfish....also a few rivers

Quite a lot I think, there's a bigun down the road from where I'm working near Lampeter, docklow in Hereford used to have some , not something I've ever wanted to catch myself but plenty in UK waters, think there's a few programs on catching UK catfish too.

My mates place is just outside of Tamworth lifting with cats to 40lb on the runs water and over 70 on the specimen lake if your looking over the bridge there’s a small lake think it’s called Elmore near little dean in the forest allegedly cats over the ton

Shatterford lakes is fairly close to Brum as well, its had cats in it for years
