The fist Olivet is a 6g held with a rubber float stop but allowed to flow free up the line then about a foot down is a 4g Olivet again held by a single float stop at the bottom and free running at the top, This means i can make the hook length any length i want just by moving the float stops. Plus its all free line to the float so very little weight for a fish to feel. Well that's the theory anyway Lol What you after catching paulus Quote Link to post

I have a fair few over 3lb the biggest went to 3lb 12oz but that was out of a commercial. Each year i set myself a challenge and this year is a 4lb perch from the canal on lobworm. The trouble with using lobworm on the canal is the silt, hence me playing about with air popped up lob worms Lol Quote Link to post

Lol But a floating lob worm..... there are a few marinas around here where the carp now spend most of there time, But when its spawning time the head for an old Boat mooring, This place is on an arm off the main canal, Now the canal can be chocolate but this place is always gin clear with Lilly's and duck weed in the summer, The rest of the canal is devoid of weed due to the amount of boat traffic. Floating lob has caught me a lot of big carp, Give it a try mate, If you inject one you have roughly 15mins before the air comes out and it starts to sink. Quote Link to post
