Already looking forward to the warmer weather.

Drove down to the gulf. When I started to release the shark, someone set off a firework display.Good timing lol.

It's Been a while since I did any barbel fishing ,braved the floods today and made the effort...lost what felt like a decent fish just as it was getting dark...recasted with fresh boilies on the hook

Pretty technical then mate I bet you lost a lot of gear to get to your current set up, very similar to the thames I have caught some mental hard fighting 16lbers during the summer in days past. 32lb carp in that flow 🙂 time for the uptiders lol

I will try and get up to you DC  for a spot of winter barbleing if your up for it and conditions are ok 👍

Up to teddy lock from shepperton looked a lot along there when I worked moving barges , also had a lock and weir permit that got us to some back waters👍

I am in Sunbury near the river (though not till the end of the year) I was chatting to a polish guy fishing last year,he had a pic of him in an angling mag with a 21 couple of ounce barbel, showed me the exact place he caught it.

That's some capture, I done my barble fishing on the Kenett I have caught barble from the Thames but less than 5lbs lol

I'm not so local now, so harder to put the effort in with prebaiting spots.

That said there are a cut that stays out the flow which looks a likely to  hold carp

Definitely give that spot a go when your back home bit of prebaiting for a few weeks some of these big fish dont move far and get caught from the same area 👍

Amazed he remembers  he looks smashed in that picture lol

Huge huge barble that I'm sure they have grown massive due to all the HNV bait going in

Just down from the weir on the left side going downstream, people whose gardens back onto hit moor their boats there, had a few pike from it when drop-shooting for perch.

Think I know where your talking about, is the water still frothy from running through the sluice gates.
