andyfoster10 0
hi all im building my ferret court 6x4 shed with a run on the side do i need to put mesh on the floor or could i bury the mesh sheet thanks Quote Link to post
stubby 175
definatly bury some mesh mate, i put mesh down, with some pipes on top (drainage pipes) then buried the lot in about 3ft of dirt and grassed the top everything was fine, untill i got a new hob, and he dug his own tunnel, somehow getting around the edge of the buried mesh, and tunnelled across to next doors garden i got worried that the tunnel would colapse with rain, and the hob was on "loan" at the time, the hob had taken a jill in there, and the buggers wouldent come out, took me an hours worth of digging, with it pee'ing down with rain, before i got to them, the floor is now concreted Quote Link to post
Knifebar 0
Would it be a good idea to sheet the floor of the run with 8'x4' exterior ply, and then cover with wood chips. Maybe cleaner. Knifebar Quote Link to post
Kay 3,709
personally i would have put the run on a solid slab or concrete floor Quote Link to post
Malt 379
Just offering another option, but you could also get some cheap patio slabs & lay them in there. Nice looking project so far mate! Keep us posted. Quote Link to post
