Big mistake.

One day I only wiped twice thinking I’d get away with it but in hindsight it needed 4 was walking round with smelly fingers all day

My biggest mistake was getting kicked out if college meaning I couldn't finish my apprenticeship and only had 6 weeks to go. If I hadn't though I would have probably never ended up here.

 

I was told as a teenager to never regret anything because at the time it was the perfect choice for you and will make you.

Same here mate , loved the hod but struggle now, the sites are all telehandler now. But private work needs hoddys but the young guns can’t do it. I’ve been on the trowel for years now but miss the hod.

We had an old guy who lived on the estate i use to live on, in his 70`s been an hod carrier all his life, Would walk round the club with bricks or pints balanced on his head. One day he just dropped, no illness nothing,

The knees take a bashing, our gang had a well known local hod on with us, one of the best in the area. A hip replacement saw him retire.

I had a hip resurfacing done  about 18 years ago ..

Had a few months off then was back at it..

Why not just tell the truth and say you didnt recognise him because you wasnt looking at his face and thats why you got a clout.....naive as f**k that is,first rule in mens toilets....eye contact or no contact.....perv

Personally i dont beat myself up too much over mistakes/regrets.....ive made thousands over the years but its all part of life,what might of seemed an acceptable way to treat people as a hungry,aggressive and determined young man i wouldnt find acceptable now but there was probably some old geezer looking at me saying the same years ago so its just the natural momentum of life for working class men in the areas we came from in my opinion.......looking back ive done things im disappointed with but nothing i cant live with.....i dont know anyone thats lived a perfect life so who am i to judge another persons mistakes.
