My main regret is not listening when younger an not trying to be better educated though the simple things in my life i was happy with a regular job at the pit that i thought at the time would be for life that my kids have never gone without and a few dogs around me to get out and about the only regret is if i had been better educated i wouldn't be slogging my guts out at 62 waiting for state pension age to retire.

Kills me how judges  and politicians can work on until their 70s and 80s and still be earning. That is physically not possible if you have have grafted hard all your life. I have no doubt the painful arthrits I get  in my neck was caused by work.

You should get your pension earlier if your body is giving out on you. How many roofers, brickies, plasterers are still working on the tools in their sixties? t's not possible.

I'm disappointed, you are on first name terms with lots of champion boxers, I thought  you would work out who it was even though it was  before your time. If that's all the credit I get, the next

I once interrupted a girl on a double date with the line “ you look like Karen from shameless , give me your number as I’m taking you out Friday , wear them pants”  nearly 11 years I’m sat outsid

Those who have made the decisions to raise the state pension age do not give a monkey's about those in physically demanding job's. Retirement age for an underground worker with the NCB was sixty and most of the lads who i know who had worked for 35 year's in the steelworks retired before 60 on good pensions it seems we are going backwards in this country regarding retirement and pensions.

Its not their physical state that worries me. These are people who have never experienced real life and have lived in a different world to the people they are presiding over.

I wouldn't bank on that. Meeting up in toilets is part of the public school experience. Keep up.

Yes, but they wouldn't have got a smack on the chops. They would have been rodgered like buggery and relieved of their Rolex  ?

True tale, a guy I know had a roley on, pissed up in quite a rough pub, he is a bit of a wrong-un,mouthy, went into the bog for a slash, came round on the floor minus watch, never reported it, just bought another and is still as mouthy.

I do and i know a few others who do also , i would not go in the Footings or touch a concrete block  but i am often in demand  for setting out or building Chimneys  because modern bricklayers dont do them , also i think is a lot easier than when i started in the early 60s.
