Met a Ukrainian guy yesterday who told me -5 in UK feels like -20 in Ukraine, he said different type of cold (pics appropose of nothing except it was with a Ukrainian outside the Russian Embassy and from recollection it was f***ing cold).

Was yapping to a Bulgarian the other day, said the same thing... he said working up in the mountains in Bulgaria could be minus 20..but was minus 3 here and felt worse... I told him to stop moaning, f***ing fireigners lol

i hear that regularly at work poles and east euros hate it , the african lads walk around with ten coates on and in a semi state of shock

Starting to melt now,every 5 minutes i think i can hear someone f****n about in the garden but ive sussed out its great big chunks of snow falling out the trees

-8 this morning here , estuary was frozen and had plates of ice giving us bites for a few hours

Crazy here today it rained 5.30 am and froze roads pavements were just glazed over loads of accidents.

Came across the photos I took when I first came to France. It was day 1 of a two week long 'grand froid' when the day time temps were -8C and night time went down to -25C. When I got there after a 14 hour drive there was no fire wood and the gas  bottle and water pipes were frozen and remained so for two weeks.

 My bedding was in the top box that had been subject to -25C for the last five hours of the journey.

We had a neighbour who was mad on decorating his house at Christmas. When he died far too young everybody in the road decided to decorate our front gardens and houses in his memory every December . The children in the street get to see Santa and we collect three or four hundred quid for charity most years. 

This is the first year it has snowed on the day of the grand opening .

My contribution was Jack Frost and a wooden deer.

Hard to believe l was catching tench from this pond a few weeks ago.
