I admit most of the recent books i have bought have been downloaded onto a kindle the eldest daughter bought me a few year back.

I am the same mate regarding book's and must have a few hundred some given as presents for Christmas and birthdays when I were a young un also years ago if I had a good night's poaching I would buy a book. It was the eldest daughter who upon seeing my book collection and other stuff I have hordererd over the years in the spare bedroom knowing that if any thing happens to me like sudden death she would have the task of sorting all the books out. I keep telling myself I will start thinning them out but another year passes and their still there. I will look them book's up you have mentioned mate cheers.

Yeah tats Google Mike Tomkies and check him out and his other books if you enjoy wildlife and solitude ect. It's been well over 25yrs since I've read his stuff, but I was captivated with it back in the day. Trust me, a real good read.

I am exactly the same i used to buy books and they would end up in boxes in the loft , the wife said " That ceilings going to come down on us one day " I figured i had 4 boxes closer to 20 , I then got bookcases and put them in the spare room still got about 4 boxes in the loft but i figure i will sort them out one day . My grandson sleeps in that room but when he's able to sleep in a bed in the bigger room i fancy decking it out as a library , I annoy the wife saying your no putting that in my shooting room are you ?. My son figures when i go hes getting all the books but my daughters let it be known she knows what there worth .
