I ALWAYS FIND THE VIXENS ARE AT THERE BEST ABOUT SEPTEMBER THEY HAVE BY THEN FED UP WELL AFTER HAVING CUBS TO LOOK AFTER AND ARE PUTTING ON A BIT OF FAT PRIOR TO COMING INTO SEASON.

I FIND DOGS ARE BEST IN NOVEMBER[ FOR THERE COATS] WHEN THEY ARE GOING GREY/SILVER YOU GET SOME REALLY NICE FUR THIS TIME OF YEAR,ITS A PITY THERE ISNT A MARKET FOR FOX FUR ANYMORE.

The pic was took the following evening after getting it had to charge the batteries.....

How does everyone cure there fox tails? is it necessary to de bone em?

Witton

You should have boned the tail when it was on the fox mate, its a hell of alot easier. When on the fox all you do is cut round the skin and take 2 sticks and grip the base of the tail inbetween the sticksand pull, it comes of a treat. Try it on the next one.

Maybe try securing a small part of the boney bit sticking out the base of the tail in a vice or something and try it with the sticks.
