Slightly off topic but a couple of decent books to read that show the truth about our participation in a couple of conflicts, "Across an angry sea" by Cedric Delves. Its the story of the SAS during the Falklands war but warts and all, The other one is a book by John Nichol called "Tornado" and is the story of the Tornado GR1 squadrons in first Gulf War, Again an eye opening insight into what actually happened.

If I had to get on 1 member mentioning SOF , I would have chosen you . Weird that ain’t it !!

Soldiers of misfortune would more likely be my read ? I met a few old yanks in places like soi cowboy, pattaya and other parts of SEA in the 1990's who had never went back home after Vietnam, always wondered their stories.

My sis, bit of a traveller, married into a family, her sister in laws first husband was supposedly a German businessman, went missing on a business trip abroad, never seen again, I remember looking in his office and finding a pile of SOF mags and a bookcase full of Jane's weapons directories,.
