JordKil 0
Are those big ones legal in the UK? I know the little ones are fine (110's etc.) but I doubt its legal to take fox with them is it? Cheers Jordan Quote Link to post

Matt 160
Before you part with any hard earned, you need to familiarise yourself with the Spring Trap Approval Order. The larger traps are NOT approved for use in the UK. Any spring trap has to be named and approved for each species before you can use it. As Snareman has said, the BMI traps currently imported by Magnum traps are approved and are worth the money. Some of the Victor Conibears are also approved. Quote Link to post

waidmann 105
hello there. which bundesland are you in? i know you may buy these traps anywhere but they are not allowed in large parts of germany either( fallenjagd verordnung). as they work on push and pull( german law says only on pull) the bait if used must be covered( protection of raptors). must be set in a bunker( with a warning of what is inside, i.e vorsicht todschlag falle!!) seective catch( ie. martin up to 10cm pipe or hole into bunker. fox 20cm restriction) i am sure you have a jagdschein and fallenjagd lehrgang. hope this helps. Hunting-top-shots 2
I only use them to dispach foxes when caught in a live trap place the Coni infront of the trap and then take the door away, and whack goes Foxey. I can not use the pistol as it is a built up area that I have been asked to trap in from the council. yes I have got the German licence and the Trappers licence. Thanks for the info all the same. bobndog 0
. The Magnum Trap Co Ltd has the sole UK concession. Ministry approval for use in the UK was granted in September 1995. The #55 is approved for mice and rats; the #110 for mice, rat, weasel, stoat and grey squirrel and the #116 for these plus rabbit and mink. As Matt the rat says, Theses traps are not approved for foxes, which would suggest that they are not available in the UK. What he needs for backup is a well placed snare connected to a deadfall and linked to a water butt. Now theres a well thought up despatch mode . biggrin.gif Same ,FFS. mad.gif You should be aware that under EU regulation BS1303/308-243 that water butts used in this manner must have the capacity in litres stamped on the side in red lettering no less than 18.53mm high. If FFS means what I think it does, count my vote also. Quote Link to post
