People are sound, crime is nothing like the uk…..it’s still British people who are allowed to be British. I know where I live I have not locked my car or vans in 8 years…..you could literally walk up the town and leave your mobile and wallet on the dashboard, nobody would touch it. Can’t vouch that you will get a helicopter ride anywhere mind you ! Lol What area are you in?

Nice fishing town / village not too quiet, nice fishing areas not too much of a shit hole , lots of boozers, tourists areas not a problem. If I sell up here may be looking at a second home/ base here . Any suggested areas to look out for. Bit of land would nt go a miss or even woodland with home. I’m easy pleased. Honestly , Dumfries and Galloway coastline is one of my fave places in the world ! The only problem is that there is genuinely f**k all there . from Dumfries To Stranraer , the a75 has decimated the area , all there is is small Tiny no mark towns like newton stewart , castle Douglas , Whithorn , port William , houses are cheap but when people are travelling to Dumfries to get to an Aldi you know there’s summat up . if your into the stalking and fishing , you’d do better up north but d and g offers a lot and punches above it’s weight for scenery etc . I never feel more at home than I do when I’m there , it pulls to you. 2
