It has its place blacky, you obviously haven't had any decent workers to warrant a warm bit of grub,iv fed it plenty in the past when I was digging flat out?

Nothing like the sheep's head rising through the froth and the eyeball glaring at you. ???

You guys are right,.. the raw meat situation has definitely spiralled out of control? Most Butchers nowadays , have chosen to sell their scrap meat for dog food, and process everything into 'pet

I personally think raw feed prices have gone mental I used to pretty much fill two chess freezers for £80 of a good mix of raw foods I used to buy in as it was all waist products it was cheap as chips

Nothing wrong with feeding warm food if you wish  ..but wouldn’t have thought they’d  appreciate it more and think wow , that beats raw cold food on a night like tonight ….  The smell might  gee them up
And cooking decreases the nutrients/  goodness doesn’t it ?  so you’d be better off leaving it on the side at room temperature if they’ve been working hard ? just the thoughts of a cool guy ?

I used to stand there boiling chicken up with a single ring and a bottle of gas in a big old tea ern...used to drive the Mrs mad,the smell put me off eating chicken tbf?..these days I pull the food out the freezer night before and defrost inside the house, stop the flies and shit.soak the biscuits in boiling water and mix some gravy in with the raw...when the dogs have been out grafting, they always get a warm meal , especially when I  kennelled them all outside?

Shouldn’t soak the biscuits in boiling water because it will kill a lot of vitamins in it, just use warm/hottish water, fill the kettle up but knock it off in about half the time it would take to boil ?

Is it purely the price that stops people using these raw completes, places like Durham Animal Feeds and suchlike....they seem to be cropping up all over i was even chatting to a young lad starting out in business with a little unit near me selling raw food i couldnt work out if he was just doing it to clean drug money or it was a genuine business venture ?.....then i realised with so few old school butchers and the recent fad of raw feeding its probably a legit business, it all seems much simpler with these basic 80/10/10 meals than it was when we used to feed raw years ago.

Durham Animal Feeds is around 25% more expensive than Sunderland Tripe Works.

I used DAF for my raw 'till I had a problem with delivery. Then I got put onto STW and they deliver to a local pet shop where I pick it up, and it's the same gear, but cheaper.

Minced raw chicken, minced raw green tripe from Sunderland Tripe Works, and lamb ribs and beef bones from the local butcher.

Cheers.

it’s obvious which a dog likes better francie take any dog fed cooked broths for a few year and put raw down it won’t go near it ?

then get a dog fed raw for a few years and show it a nice broth it will eat it like a piss head on a curry ?

Give them a blanket and hot water bottle … or do like me and cwtch up with them..

I must be a right soft Cnut cos iv insulated my kennels to best of my ability an if I’m grafting let dog hard in season then I often cook there food up for them, insulating them from the inside out, nowt against anybody that don’t cook it, but I don’t mind being called soft for doing it, it works for me an my dogs hardly ever lose condition in the real cold months an I don’t stop working them either like a lot of folk when it’s bad with snow an ice ?

I’m with you mate I sometimes put a roof on my kennels.
