Bead sight or not

No write up just tried out the semi with the above , just a couple of hour out 

I can’t make my mind up if if they make any difference, I do find it easier to swing and track with one tho

I picked up a semi last week for free. It has a brass bead on it, I'm planning on putting a high viz one on, which you got david ?

A bead is not needed , you look at the bird you are going to shoot not the bead.

I mean do you see a cricketer watch the bat before hitting the ball ??

Exactly this how can you look at bead and target while swinginging through. Don't have a bead on any of my shotguns.

When my left eye wants to be boss I stick a pea size of masking tape on my glasses in the position the left eye want to look when the gun is shouldered.

It soon gives up trying.

I've had my Beretta 694 since February and only noticed today that it has a small white bead on the barrel.

As above just look at the target.

The only problem shooting one eye closed with a shotgun Ben is that you can lose some depth of field.
