It's a rainy day fund not a weekend in Vegas fund. My mate all love gambling, from horses to holidays based around casinos. It really isn't for me. I do quite fancy learning to play poker though Edited October 22, 2022 by DIDO.

My mates the same, lost maybe a million, I don't even put the lottery on but I did used to bet the equivalent of a quid on cockfights now and again.

No if youve no cash due to collapse of banking systems, war etc etc and you need to get out of harms way then you pay the underground systems or fishing boat captain etc a fee to get you to another destination on the quiet, equally you could just pay to stay in a hotel instead of the local woods car park, by paying in soild gold

paulus 26
If the worst was to happen, buy everything you can as fast as you can, as within a short space of time there wont be anything left to buy and money will become useless, Having gold may be a blessing on one hand but will also make you a target on the other, As soon as you trade it for anything then word would get out. If you had a place where you could go to where nobody would find you, Then what good would that gold do you?.

gnasher16 30,597
Managing money is an art....ive had times being obsessed with money and was always decent at turning over a pound note but i think over time the better off an uneducated div like me becomes the more you rely on good people around you to give good advice, even if it costs you....speculate to accumulate and all that.....its about knowing who you are in my opinion if you're a hardworking chap who likes the routine of a 9 to 5 and not particularly ambitious then managing dough shouldnt be particularly difficult but if you've set the bar high and you're focused and driven to achieve then chances are you wont be doing it alone.....knowing yourself and having trusted people around you is vital to ambitious financial aspirations in my opinion.

Aussie Whip 4,216
I grow my own fruit, veg, have chickens for eggs and meat plus a couple of bullock grass eaters which will be eaten some time. I grow my own smoko. I don't want much and have my cars for ten years plus. I don't have much money but I don't spend much. I've never been interested in wealth and being a slave to the system. Simple is good.
