Stop being so stubbornly myopic Ive seen Salukis and Saluki types pull up when the going gets tough, just like any other type , and I've had both As for "breaking" a dog, any fool can make a dog jack, however game or driven it is, you just need to put more graft in front of them than they can handle. To paraphrase Clint " a dog man needs to know his dogs limits" Cheers.

For the daytime game , for the lamping stuff , I always liked dogs with some jank in it as they just have the stick to take the hammer . Best ever dog I’ve ever seen was a half cross grey saluki , electric to watch .

I’ve seen a mixture of saluki/grey/deerhound/bull that would do that nearly every day of the week for 6 months of the year, the owner kept pushing and the dog always delivered……a heavily saturated coursing type would have been dead in a month ! Big difference; I wouldn't want a dog that I'd have to select runs on and down here if you picked runs or quarry you wouldn't get many
