One of Corbetts best book the man eating leopard of Rudraprayag gives an insight to how deadly a man eating leopard can be . 3 Quote Link to post

Remember the same circus at the park in 73 and the caged tunnel were the lion's and tiger went from their trailer into the circus ring a feisty jack Russel squeezed through the bars to have a go at a lionesses one swipe of the lions paw and a bite across the terriers back and it was dead as a door nail much to the look of shock and horror on a few onlookers faces. I am sure Plummer once wrote about it saying it was a terrier he bred. lol 2 Quote Link to post

How the hell do you work that out? IF THERE WERE ANY, they would come under the class of Dangerous invasive same as boar and could be shot by anyone with ALQ on his ticket. 1 Quote Link to post
levigsp 938
Over the years I have seen a white horse walking away from us described as big foot and they were convinced it was an eight-foot-tall biped. A black greyhound chasing sheep described as a puma, that was by Six regular lurcher men!! AND ON VIDIOS THIS ONE TAKES THE BISCUIT, a black cow licking its Newborn and afterbirth described as a black cat. My take on this is if a mountain lion or some such snook up on these people and bit them in the trossocks they would describe it as a Woozle, the power of suggestion is very powerful and coupled with the average Joes imagination, its downright dangerous. The only big cats in the UK are in captivity and showrooms. 3 Quote Link to post

The police wouldn't accept wild boar were living in the countryside until a few years ago, now they will add them onto a FAC, as for big cats being shot, here is what the legal person at Sporting Gun had to say on the subject. Legal DAVID FROST says: I think it unlikely the conditions you have on your firearms certificate would cover shooting animals of this sort. They do not fall within the usually accepted definition of vermin. Quote Link to post
