Shotguns for calling

So just curious about something I'm a bit ignorant on when it comes to how y'all do stuff.  So over here it's really common while predator calling to bring both a rifle and shotgun, ( using loaded with smaller buck shot or some of the newer TSS) or have a buddy shooter with a shotgun . Mainly because at times you will get animals coming in really fast or at odd angles or if you live somewhere like I do and are calling where it's super thick a shot gun it's just a better deal then a rifle. MFK is a prime example of what I'm talking about hope to the 7min mark and you'll see what I mean.

But I've never seen any calling from you guys with a shotgun.  Any reason why ? Always figured because your fox just arnt super brazen and they just make it where having a shotgun wouldn't make a lot of sense . Also s ems most of what y'all do is at night. Anyway just curious as usual,

More for the noise at night as a silenced rifle can still get complaints over here, but early morning with a shotgun and calling in accounts for a few kills a year

Used to use a shotgun and nothing else one time but the rifles have taken over now .Just quieter and less cumbersome .Going to try call a fox to the shotty this winter though just for you .
