Imagine the two decades after world war two when their was a massive council house building project a national health service free to use the nationalisation of industry's that gave the workers job security and decent pensions all seems now days it never happened bar the NHS.

They have been getting a lot of flash flooding in my old area and the local councillors are all scratching their heads and coming up with lame excuses as to why…….not one of them has mentioned that building tens or thousands of houses over the last 10 years which obviously means tarmacing and concreting over thousands of acres of land that previously would have been soaking up ground water may have something to do with it ! 

Then as you say add to that waste, a hundred thousand new mouths every year on an island that can’t support it and it’s all a cluster f**k.

Seems to be total f***ing insanity everywhere you look mate.

The biggest cause of flash flooding is blocked drains which councils haven’t cleaned for years. There is nowhere for the water to go.

the problem is they are using little pissy 4/6" drainage pipes and tiny premade inspection chambers that can't handle the volume of water and tapping them into the old existing stuff been around since Victorian times in the big city's and towns

Hunt has just reversed all the changes Truss and Karteng had announced in their budget, Hunts calling the shots now.

So, Truss is Prime Minister in name only, she's been humiliated, I don't see how she can carry on.

Too much Storm water is going into Foul Drains. Drains used to have to be straight with a full moon showing or else they got failed and you had to lay them again. Some of the drain laying with plastic pipe I see is a joke .

Not one reservoir has been built in Devon since privatisation 1989, I think Roadford was finished the same year but was started 1986. Think its the same all over the country. Here in the South West we pay the highest bills for the joint worst performing water board.

They been taking the piss for years.

few yrs back we had a good down poor..bottom of my street flooded,there was carp and chub swimming around the streetI drove my Mrs brand new vxr threw it,was half way up the tyres..just about out if it and the car conked out... several houses were flooded down stairs as well... council couldn't get out fast enough to unblock the drains...they wrote the motor off I lost 14k on the car...Mrs still gives me shit to this day....there's culverts behind houses by me they ain't cleaned out for yrs..when it rains they have to open the back and front doors and let the water go straight threw the house ffs...or have water build up to the second floor

I've just looked up Hunt's wife too. She works for Chinese state media, which basically broadcasts  unchallenged propaganda. Surely that's incompatible with her husbands position?  Its not on imo.

Hunt is a very dangerous man. He applauded the Chinese methods of lockdown during covid and wanted the same for this country. He is a massive proponent of mandatory vaccines, digital currency and Chinese type state control.
