Mr Wilkes 3,115
I shoot instinctive, I can't for the life of me shoot with a reference and anchor point. The one I'm shooting well with atm is a crown Derby with bombdrop tubes. I can hit at bottle top more times than not with 11mm steel at 9 yards (hung in the catch box). I think it's 70mm wide.

Prefer the bands to be honest, the tubes are ok and the catapult beautifully made but yes for me I like bands.

They are a big temptation to say the least. The local park near me i walk through to get on to the shooting estate nearly every morning i see woodies offering easy shots only once have i got the catty out one morning and dropped a big carrion crow just as a dog walker came around the corner a few seconds earlier he would have seen the crow tumbling out of the tree. 1

But think all this technology's taken the sport out of hunting by making it easier. If we've got light sky's through the night ,early mornings too. You don't need this technology to find the game up a tree.

Coursing a lot of people use thermal to scan a field to walk over to the hare, have you done it?Lamps changed the game of night hunting, now it’s thermal it’s adapting and evolving. 1
