They will get aggressive out of dominance and territory, that can be handled if you know how to work with a dog. Once the switch is flicked on in an APBT they are a different animal altogether, someone said it perfectly, they are harder to "switch off." They are wired up differently to other breeds, understandable really when they are bred to fight against the laws of nature and survival. Stiff right regards them being healthy big dogs compared to the bigger mastiff types, a lad by me got ped boerboel bitch, its knees fooked, cost £ 8000 , dogs only 6 year old , that was 2 years ago, i seen it the other day, still didnt move well. the prob is with most big mastiff breeds today, there over big, the original dogs were never this big, that bitch 65kg , the males hit 80kg , ok they were bred to be big dogs to handle the big cats, etc they were to just guard , and use there size if there 3- 4 of them loose, but they were not fookin 12-15 st dogs if they were this heavy well they be lame, more than they be worked fact. what they are his height of bullmastff , but the weight a mastiff , thats why there fooked.Yeh the Kangal hell of a breed, my mate goes over turkey quite a lot his wife Turkish . he told me that the dogs up in the mountains , are very good guards, they dont see many people, just them Shepard and his family, so there very switched on if strangers are about, my mate didnt get out of his car when they were about lol, he said yeh there big feckers, but very fit agile powerful dogs, could kill good size bloke no prob. there bred for being loose with goats/sheep all day, i dare say they guard your house but be cruel i think cramping a dog like that deff. regards apbts, i can remember few years back where i lived before , Buck just over 2 year old , a guy who i knew had young pit, not saying it game bred or nothing like that prob scatter bred , not switched on yet , i know from our old type staffs, that were like apbts of today , so i know what bull breeds are like.Well this young dog got some energy / drive in it, it was playing with Buck none stop lol, Buck grabbing it slamming to the floor, pinning it down, everything to stop the fecker, it was only say 19in 50lb, but feckin strong animal. Well it wore Buck out lol, he looked at me as to say, what the fook this thing haha . i glad it was friendly or it been a nightmare deff , pits, proper staffs, all proper type bullterriers , are not really for pet homes, because they do kick off your in real big trouble, leave them to the people who work them and know how to keep them safe from joe public . THE STIFFMEISTER 16,144
I wouldn’t know much about it , but I’ve heard stuff about South Africaans having them in town houses with pools and they’ve cane in from work and the boerbel is lying floating dead in the pool after they’ve fell in and can’t get back out again . What an effort .

That's for sure, they were the ones who sold out the breed, falsifying Peds and selling pups to guys thinking they had genuine game bred lines, and not caring who got them once the cash was flowing Edited October 10, 2022 by jigsaw
