.357shooter 1,242
so i decided to have another go at this for the first time in some years as the marlin type of gun is getting popular at my club.one of the guys who has only been shooting one for a short while was doing very well considering his lack of experience.so i thought i would enter the sighted class as irons is a no go as my eyes are fecked.comp average was needed so i gave them 286 ex 300.this put me in devision 2 .targets are at 25y and inward scoring any caliber upto .44m at my club.so it is 3 cards per round and max score at the end of the comp is 2100.i scored 2033 in total and won my division but my score was only beaten by the winner in dvision 1 so very happy about the result and as usual could have done a little better but not enough to beat the overall winner of the comp.will be picking up my little trophy shortly to add to the collection .only proplem for me is during pratice i average 99.5 per card and can not get over the pressure i put on myself to shoot that during the comp.stress is the reason i can not relax as soon as that little sticker is put on a target.is a shame as i love to shoot but my scores do not reflect how i can actually shoot.this is the reason i do not do many comps anymore. Sausagedog 7,381
And breath Slow down partner. Add a space or two, heck let's go mad and introduce paragraphs!! Lever gun is the correct term really. Or lever action Underlever sort of was used to describe an air rifles action. Martinis and falling blocks have levers also but generally are referred to as martinis or falling blocks operated via a lever acting on the mechanism or in short lever action. Quote Link to post
