Im sure the American gear has outstripped the Russian stuff now.

I rememember going to the states one time, and I thought I'd packed my video camera, but I'd taken the Russian NV by mistake.

I dread to think of the questioning I would have had if the yank Customs had found them ! !

Was your NV Zenith? I got a camera off a Russian in Cairo years ago, heavy 35mm sort of thing, dirt cheap, he funded his holidays by selling cameras in Egypt, all were zenith.

Cyclops one, mate.

The top bit was the NV and the pistol grip was infra red.

You could use the NV with or without the IR.
