:icon_eek: Wow! Fukk! Well, many thanks to Greg, for pointing these out. I finally got my hands on one, Today. And, yes, I'm now wearing a fukking plaster!!!

I showed my mate, a life long butcher? He was incredibly taken with it! Looking so over the top sort of over designed and over worked ~ it does look rather 'ornamental' / zombieish ~ I expected him to give it them " Hmmph ... "

As it was, he examined it closely. Slashed a chunk of beef steak wide open, with a single slice. Nodded approvingly and said; " Yep. This'd do for me! " :icon_eek: Literally straight out of the fukking box!

It feels Great, in the hand. It's very much a 'full sized' knife. Seems strong as fukk. And ..... Ta daaaaa!!!!! ... My right hand knuckles stay well above the surface when I cut down with it!

I bought a fresh turnip and carrot, today. Tomorrow, I make another stew! This time, pain free! (Unless I fukk up and catch myself with that wicked edge, again!)

@socks PM, or the comp!

Ken ; ever considered an Eskimo "ulu"?

The design is also used for pizza cutters so you could invest in cheap one of them just to see if it feels right.

Actually, mate; That was one of the First things I looked at :good:

Dismissed them though, because I saw them as potentially transferring the trouble from my knuckles to my wrist. See what I'm getting at?

Perhaps push / pulling that down a caribou's hide would be just the ticket? Even swiping it across seal blubber or fish.

But, for, effectively, bashing it down, against and through something as unyielding as a turnip? Dunno. Just see the old wrist jack knifing there.
