lurchergrrl 1,441
Rookie question here Just how much/far can a bunny see in the dark? I've not been out lamping (yet), but I do sometimes go a-moochin' in the dark on ground I know. Can a bunny see a red led light? How far can they see stuff? I'm wondering because I've got red led collars that I use for the dogs when they're off lead in the dark. Can the bunnies see them from miles away and scoot off or what? Quote Link to post

B moocher 0
its not just what they see rabbits will sense anything around them espeacially if people use the land a lot and as far as flashing collars as far as i see it there for little dogs or for pet dogs not working dogs that people trust to come back to them with out shining the whole field looking for them Quote Link to post
lurchergrrl 1,441
I use the red collars mostly when I turn them out on the fields near me, just so I can see where they are - if they're playing at royal flypast it's easier for me to get the feck out of the way. I turn them off when I go up where the bunnies are tho. My Grey will always come back unless a strange dog turns up and scares her off - but then she hangs about close by and waits till I tell her to come back. That's when the red collar comes in handy. Just wondered if the bunnies could see the red lights like we can. Couple of lads came through a field near my place the other week, saw the collars bouncing round in the dark and nearly shat themselves 'Twas quite funny really. Quote Link to post
