Woodcock are game birds to be eaten and being such they should be afforded a certain amount of respect in getting that carcass to the table in a reasonable state .
One of the reasons why gameshooting faces the threat it does is because not many take what they shoot and can’t even be bothered to check a bird has been picked half the time .So when  when a bird is smashed at close range none of those things can happen ,no respect ,not eaten ,not even hung on the cart respectfully but to some it’s ok to post that pic on an open forum .Sean pointed out the head shot muntjac .Head shooting is a large part of deer management where meat damage is kept to zero .Wasn’t how I wanted that buck to meet his end but that’s life .

A lad off here had that carcass and two more off me ,a lad that travelled from Wales  to pick them up ,free of charge .

Keeping it real is one thing ,flaunting mistakes another .

Difference is Ben I couldn’t care less what you call me but you get all menstral when there’s any banter back at ya so to  avoid you soiling yet another set of panties and filling your bin up with tampons ,I’ll not bother as you ain’t no fun and go running to admin .

Something to think about. a mate of mine shooting a few years ago, legally and with no public rights of way, He is in a spiny looking for squirrels, unknown to him a lady has decided to walk here dog along the outside of the same spiny, He fires at a squirrel. Scaring her and allegedly her dog, A heated conversation took place, He then had a visit and a verbal warning from his FLO for causing alarm and distress to this lady, I wouldn't of accepted it but he did at the time.
