Ok ,so ……..had a client on Friday night ,last minute booking off Instagram .I love Instagram

So the chap turns up with one of these new fangled  C50 things which is fine providing its shooting straight ( ref FH post )

Put the chap on paper at 100m and have to say it was some of the best grouping I’d seen bar myself of course ?.

His request was a big roe buck ,well join the queue matey cos they all want one of them .Plenty of bucks about so I played it down and said most the medals had been shot and he might have to settle for a rep head

Now I’m not prejudice against Scousers but that accent lads ffs ,could twang a lazzy  band off  every sentence

Shouldnt talk about clients like that but I’m sure he ain’t on here

The accent was grinding a bit with me saying “pardon “that soon turned into “what “and then to total ignoring him as ffs it was doing my head in .I eventually told him to be quiet or we wouldn’t see anything .

Went  to my go to place for a rep head and scanned every field ,hedge back and ditch and nothing ,no does ,munties or fox .

Lazzy band showed his discontent with a few inaudible rasps

Onto a place that is soon to be sold for housing and there’s a fox well out in a field .Got him on sticks and squeaked and the fox made a very swift exit into a maize field

As it was going so well I took him to one last ditch attempt place before we lost the light .

Few does and kids so decided rather than traipse the fields we would wait up by a wood .

As the light sort of nearly faded to f**k it we are done mate , a deer stepped out of the wood and stood surveying the surroundings .

Well he never surveyed us only 100 m away .I forgot he had the poachers C50 so when he said he had a clear picture I thought bollocks ,no way .I  looked at the scope and realised and said if your happy take it .Boom went the 6.5 gaymore and down went the buck on the spot .

Made in to find a very handsome older buck that subsequently revealed it had only two bottom teeth left but the head was a beaut .

I explained we looking at a possible gold to which he was delighted ,as was I.

Not very often you get a payout from a scouser .

Head will be scored at my cost and he will pay the going rate for it ,hand shake sealed the deal .

Any way ,after the gralloch he asked if there was any chance of staying on for a fox and asked how much I charge per shot .

I was tempted I must say ,just for accent but said they are free .His eyes lit up and we managed 3 off that perm at decent range .

Left there at midnight with him driving back

Have to say it ,he was a damned good shot with that 6.5 .Ranges of 200 to 280 paces all of them

it’s no sport at all if you drive to the first field and bag up. 
with you on the fcukin annoying accent thing, got mates from all over county.. don’t know any scousers though

Nice job . It’s a horrible feeling when someone has travelled for a shot , and all your places don’t deliver. I guarantee you will go around the next day and it will be like the Serangeti .
