Never seen sika there mate but I’ve seen red , fallow , roe , Munties and chinkies there .

Great seeing the little b*****ds hurtling about in the mist there or in the roadside at dusk . Roe will come right into the town .

Here's a true story that very well may give reason why the Red deer in the forest are some of the best in the UK, a farm in the village i live in once had it's own deer  herd and pack of hounds to hunt the carted stag and the farmer who owned it had enough money to improve the deer herd by travelling Europe to find the best Red deer he could to bring back and improve his herd.He found what he was looking for in Hungary and brought some deer back, a few years later on the turn of the 1800's - 1900;s the hunting of the carted deer was banned and he was told to cull his herd, well he didn't shoot them he let them go and some of the red deer shot on a estate (Shadwell) in the forest have been DNA tested and are decendents of the released deer...

Don’t think the dry summer would of helped numbers this year. Seen an increase around here since badger cull

Think its not so many left mate. Badger protection has not been good for the Hedgehog population. Sad and short-sighted legislation has led to more than infringements of country sports

I'm seeing a lot of deer that's been hit on local roads and mostly roe ,muntjac and odd fallow ,they a lot local and I'm sure numbers are high In most areas and seeing dead badgers daily but no fox ,I've only seen one live fox in the year I e been here so the shooting brigade must be bang at it ,shame as I like to see them ,

Not seen many road kill, maybe people can’t afford the fuel so are driving less and slower as I,m still getting loads on my trail cameras, just running through some SD cards now and every pic is roe, multi or fox ??

Got to be honest here lads .If a chap is eating roadkill he’s a shite hunter as deer are bleeding everywhere bar Wales .
Taking one with the lurcher was a thing to talk about when I ran one but I know lads now that do it for it for dog food week in week out .

Used to snare my fair share too ,very easy .

I've eaten plenty of road kill that I might have accidentally ran into and fed the dogs on several road kill deer. Roe are multiplying massively atm I've seen deer in some places that I never expected and now expect to see them, down here anyway.

Cheers, D.
