The government pretending that they didn't know anything about it.  For at least 20 years every government department has been actjng illegally. And they say they didn't know.

They've said " we didn't stop processing white males, that would be illegal.....we stopped ALL processing until we could find a legal way to process more women and ethnic minority's "

Whats the difference ? They are still going to discriminate against white males !!!!!

They can't legally do it. That would breach the Human Rights Act:

Article 14 Prohibition of discrimination

The enjoyment of the rights and freedoms set forth in this Convention shall be secured without discrimination on any ground such as sex, race, colour, language, religion, political or other opinion, national or social origin, association with a national minority, property, birth or other status.

Positive descrimination has become the norm in all government departments: health, education, armed forces, police, etc. Even the tv companies are at it.  They keep on mentioning quotas, but nobody says what these quotas are and where they came from. Who decides these quotas and how, and why are they more important than getting the right person for the job based on ability? 

We are not just talking race or gender either. It seems that we now have to have quotas for gays, disabled and other 'minorities'. The word 'minorities' is quite interesting because if you looked at the  UK census or other demographic data you would find that these 'minorities' are actually over represented in many areas such as tv adverts and contestants of reality shows, yet the departments struggling to fill their quotas such as the RAF don't seem to understand that some groups aren't interested in some occupations. Why should a black British born Asian want to fight for the UK when they identify as being Asian? They don't have the necessary loyalty for the UK. 

I hope that this RAF situation leads to some common sense being produced, but I ain't banking on it.

Actively target the demographics they want more of with recruitment but still treat applications in an egalitarian way.

The email from the woman officer to her superior is pretty damning, she says she refused to carry out an illegal order or direct her team to carry it out. The order was to actively push female and ethnic minority's onto courses ahead of better qualified white males.

Someone is lying and covering up.

The Armed Forces Minister must know who issued the directive, the Vice Admiral, a woman, must also know who issued the order to the woman Group Captain who resigned, but of course no one will accept responsibility and no one will be held accountable, as usual.

The RAF doesn’t have admirals. 

And the woman in question was a group captain.

I meant the Group Captains superior, a vice Air Marshal, not a vice admiral
