mate if you popped over with ya dog you’d see exactly what i meant by it’s not fair on it  be on deaths door after a run if it didn’t have quit in it

And if you pop over here you might get educated on the Irish hare and have a blast while doing so,....and realise they don't die easy, prove em all wrong on here, and slaughter our inferior hares ...lol....only kidding ,

Not bothered reading the previous pages as very likely an argument ?

The answer is either lots of time, lots of game, an expectation of injury, varied sport and some pack based activities.

Or they are just talking shit.

Yes, then again maybe no but probably muddies the water somewhat. :hmm:

Hull you seem to have a issue with bull xs yet  you don't run any gear that gives it back as you stated  yet you don't take them out there comfort zone regarding land or quarry one thing a decent bull x will do  is hit anything and give it it's all and they  aren't one quarry specialists either and I have seen so called top slop dogs given ten yard kick up become legends

we’re have i said i hate em

i don’t look for out bites back but a good un good slip i’ll always give em it and they make light work

i have more land to go at then you could hope for black every type and i stop on all of it

you saying they aren’t one trick pony’s makes me believe you haven’t seen proper dogs on all land they the most handicapped of all crosses and they need runs picking like no other

for a terrier man round a hole etc there spot on small land quick bursts not to much running spot on

but running how a lot do they won’t last a few hour mate

Now days I think anyone would be hard pushed to work more than 2 dogs properly effectively and efficiently at one time the amount of hours put in finding gear to run be it day or night would be at the sacrifice of family an loved one’s ,relationships and a day job. The most working dogs I’ve had on the go at one time was 3 I’m not going to lie it was hard work my ol world revolved around dogs an working dogs was my priority over any thing else in life sadly I put ferreting lamping an mooching as a life’s priority. A lot of people have loads of different Lurchers, terriers on the go at one time there be all over the Internet banging on how good a dog person they are an how hard working there dogs are the reality is there less than sub standard they can’t make up there mind what cross they need or type of dog they need or there would be no need for so many dogs. I personally think a couple of Lurchers an a terrier or busher is more than enough to keep someone that hunts regularly more than content. The best Lurchers I’ve ever seen have always been from dudes that only keep one dog at a time an put all focus on getting plenty of work in to one dog

There was a time I could of give 2 lurchers and 2 terriers all the work they could handle but that day is over with having other commitments. It's just the way life goes for most.
