Most food is zero rated for v.a.t.

Household gas and electric is rated at 5% v.a.t., and this is because the EU imposed it upon us.

Boris said he would remove the 5% v.a.t. on gas and electricity when we left the EU........sadly just another broken promise by a politician

I'd be happy to see pensioners not pay any tax - not on clothes, food, fuel, not on the interest on their savings, nothing.

 

There should be a cut off - a government having you in hock until the day you pop your clogs is absolutely scandalous.

Also them pensioners who I know who worked in the steel industry and the pits all their working life and pay tax on their pensions they paid into for years.
