I was joking about you hating them but they would annoy me too, lol. 1 Quote Link to post

A seal on the shoreline makes no difference to my bait over 100 yards out Same as us mate but the ones in the harbour are far more aggressive and rip the fish off, that one seems happy just to beg. I don't think it makes much difference if they're about you can still catch fish. It has made a difference to what you can catch long term though imo. On that beach years ago flat fish would be coming in numbers at dusk mostly Dabs with the odd Plaice but they are gone. It's affected what you can catch. Fish like Mackerel are still there and you can hook them now it's a matter of wether you can get them in at places like Brixham and Hopesnose. Cheers Arry Quote Link to post

Nicepix 5,650
They've got a baluga whale in the River Seine now. Couple of months ago there was an Orca in the river. If this continues I'm going to upgrade my rods. I reckon 3lb test curve should be OK. 1 Quote Link to post

terryd 8,492
Worth carrying on but they soon learn to intercept fish when your reeling in and then your screwed This little shite was the bane of my life. Would see him bloody miles away then he would magically appear right by me and to the side a bit. Grabbed a bass off me one day and stripped half me line off before I snapped it off. SMug git surfaced then holding my bass. Hope he choked on it 1 1 Quote Link to post
