They have decimated the Plaice and Flounders in some places near me Seal numbers are very high now. They get right up to the far reaches of tidal waters right up to the weir slaughtering Salmon and Sea trout.

Even Mackerel fishing at Brixham you have to wind like f**k or they rip them off or you hook one one of the b*****ds you just have to hang on and snap out. It don't help when twats feed them. So many now was told there are over 30 in the harbour on pontoons etc.

Lets hope Orcas turn up Lol.

You really do hate seals Arry lol, you should take a Patterdale fishing with you, or a shotgun ?.

I don't really hate them Aus it's just the numbers mate and how I have seen the affect over the years. Plaice and Dabs used to be common at dusk on the beach I fished last night rare now. Flounders on the river Dart used to be some good fishing in the winter now just about gone. Hardly surprising with more that 20 seals in the river, Salmond and Sea Trout taking a pasting.

The Seal Sanctuary's rescuing these pups and releasing them has had a real detrimental affect imo.

I can see why with them Spaniel eyes they do like charming.

We caught fish with him sat in front of us the weekend at the exact same spot. A seal on the shoreline makes no difference to my bait over 100 yards out
